When my clients ask me what they should
do to get and stay fit I tell them “just keep
movin’ your body.” Moving is essential to
life. Our bodies were designed to move.
When our bodies cease to move, when
oxygen ceases to flow in and out of our
expanding and contracting lungs and the
blood ceases to flow through our pulsating
hearts and arteries we are no longer alive.
So to keep our bodies as healthy and as
vital as possible it is necessary to keep
moving.
We need to move and to keep moving we
need to find the joy in moving. Moving with
joy is vital to our health. To move vitally with
joy means embracing the pleasurable
sensation of exercising all the integral
parts of our physical being including the
spirit that dwells within. That means
engaging the experience of moving with our
total selves including not only our physical
bodies but our curious creative minds as
well as our pleasure seeking souls. Moving
joyfully is a holistic endeavor that embraces
all aspects of our physical, emotional,
psychological, and spiritual being.
All we really need to do to move joyfully and
appease our pleasure seeking soul is to
find an activity that we like to do and do it
regularly with a sense of discipline,
gratitude, and grace. We need to make a
commitment to ourselves to do what our
bodies and spirits need and want. We must
put our hearts and souls into it to find the
joy that is there. If we find something that
we need but do not want or enjoy we will
not stay with it for very long. So finding the
joy is essential. Keeping it will spill over
into all aspects of our lives.
Whatever your goals are I can help you achieve them. I have the insight, the methods, and the motivation to help you realize your fitness potential.
